The second verse of the track Beauty And The Beast is called, “The Gift”. It is sung by both Gaston and Megganthro. This is a very symbolic song for the album because it features the character, Beauty, as well as the hideous Beast, whose identity is not known to anyone. In the first verse, Gaston speaks about his love for the lovely Megganthro, who he thinks is beautiful. He wants to give her the gift of eternal love, but she rejects him, and he tries to convince her with many arguments, until finally she agrees to marry him.
Then, in the second verse, the Beast appears, and is identified as the one who was responsible for the original sin that was committed by Beast. Afterward, the two make love once again, and the song ends. However, this doesn’t mean that Beauty and the Beast Reprise Lyrics are finally over.
In the final stanza, the original sin committed by the Beast is mentioned again, and a vision occurs for Megganthro where the old, hideous Beast is shown torturing another young woman. Finally, a voice is heard from above, ordering the young woman to kill the Beast. Megganthro complies, and the song ends with the words, “For where is the gift / that you pray will come true?”
The Beauty And The Beast Reprise Lyrics
It is no surprise that The Beauty And The Beast has become a hugely popular movie in both the UK and the US, with many fans still holding out hope that it will end up showing up on the big screen in the West End or Broadway. While the early screenings were largely successful, the film did have one major theme running throughout that didn’t please a lot of people, namely the ending. The traditional British happy ending was brought back for the second half of the movie where the Beast turns into a monster and makes love to Beauty. Personally I think this is a mistake because while it’s cute to see the poor old Beast get turned into a monster, the audience is made to feel sympathy for the poor old man – especially when we realise how long he has been transformed. That doesn’t mean that the movie isn’t entertaining – far from it – but I personally don’t find that ending to be particularly inspirational.
A more positive note is the excellent music selection throughout the movie and the great score by Tim Burton that accompanies it. The music is perfectly suited to the mood that the movie exists in, whether it’s dark and scary or light and peppy. There is also an excellent special effect that gives the movie a wonderfully creepy feel that only the makers of the movie could conjure up, as the dead memories of the dead children come back to haunt them. This works perfectly since the memories of the dead are so real, and the fear is enough to make you feel for the characters involved.
One other thing that The Beauty And The Beast reprise lyrics are saying is that through the movie we can also sense the loneliness of the characters who are left in the darkness. At one point in the movie there is a reference to the Beast’s loneliness, which is one of the most heart-wrenching emotions a person can experience. The song says that when the Beast comes back he’ll see a lost humanity, which is entirely true. Although the movie is only a movie and has no story to follow, it still works incredibly well as a song due to all of its heart-wrenching symbolism. The movie also has some terrific music choices, which I’ll get to later in this article. But I’ll leave you with the final word…
